Where is Jesus right now? He is seated at the right hand of the Father. And, according to Paul, He ascended to that position to God’s resurrection power.
Christians should realize that Christ’s position in the heavenlies has direct consequences for their lives. It means that Jesus is in charge. Paul wrote that Jesus is above every power in heave and earth, and that is not only true for now, but forever. God has also placed all things under His feet, and Jesus is head over everything, reigning powerfully for the church (Eph. 1:20-23).
Jesus, the One who loves them as none other and walks daily to draw them into deeper experiences of intimacy, is in charge of everything. Talk about knowing someone! This is the ultimate example of having an inside connection. Christians are close to the Lord of all the universe, who is reigning at the right hand of God! And this mighty Christ has invited believers to ask Him for what they truly need (John 16:23).
Jesus provides Christians with a direct link to God the Father, and assures them that He cares about their requests.
